What is a quote and what is it for?

It is a price proposal you send your customer before starting: it describes what you will do, what it costs and how long it is valid. If the customer accepts, it is the basis for the invoice that follows. It is not an invoice or a tax document.

What should a quote include?

Your details and the customer's, a number and the date, lines with description, quantity and price, the base, VAT and total, the date until which it is valid and the payment method or terms. This generator puts it all in a clean PDF.

How long should a quote be valid?

As long as you decide: 15 or 30 days are common. Putting it in writing avoids misunderstandings if the price changes.

From quote to invoice

When the customer accepts, invoice with the same amounts. With Invoicing you save your customers and issue the invoice with gap-free numbering.

Frequently asked questions

Is a quote the same as an invoice?

No. A quote is a price offer; an invoice is the document that asks for payment after the service and must meet legal requirements.

Is an accepted quote binding?

It depends on what is agreed and how it is accepted. If you need legal effect, ask your advisor.

Is what I type stored?

No. The data is sent to the server only to build the PDF at that moment and is not saved.

Can I add VAT and withholding?

Yes: choose the VAT rate and IRPF withholding that apply to you; the total is calculated for you.
